About the event

Don't miss this adventure in a holiday-themed Early California and Old West living history tour! 

After our tour, enjoy Knott's Merry Farm until closing with friends! 

Date: Wednesday, December 6th

Time: 9:30am-12pm

This ticket includes entry to the park for the whole day!

Ages: All ~ Material designed for 1st-8th

Cost: $59 per ticket (non-charter funds)

HFAC hosts this adventure as partners with the educational programming department at Knotts. After the tour, HFAC encourages families to hang out at the park with friends they may have met on the tour.

State Standards covered:

1.4 Students compare and contrast everyday life in different times and places around the world and recognize that some aspects of people, places, and

things change over time while others stay the same.

2.5 Students understand the importance of individual action and character and explain how heroes from long ago and the recent past have made a

difference in others’ lives.

3.3 Students draw from historical and community resources to organize the sequence of local historical events and describe how each period of

settlement left its mark on the land.

4.3 Students explain the economic, social, and political life in California from the establishment of the Bear Flag Republic through the Mexican-

American War, the Gold Rush, and the granting of statehood.

5.2 Students trace the routes of early explorers and describe the early explorations of the Americas

5.8 Students trace the colonization, immigration, and settlement patterns of the American people from 1789 to the mid-1800s, with emphasis on the role of

economic incentives, effects of the physical and political geography, and transportation systems.

Notes:

Everyone on the tour must have a ticket.

Parents are welcome to join us, or drop-off their student for the tour only.

Tickets are non-refundable unless cancelled by Knotts or HFAC due to low enrollment, etc.

Knotts Field Trips no longer have season pass entry. If you have a season pass, I recommend purchasing a ticket for your student and dropping them off with an educator for the 2-hour tour only.

Additional park entry tickets can be purchased from HFAC for $55. This does not include the field trip tour.
