Get ready for an extraordinary day of artistic exploration with renowned artist Carly Lake during our Summer '24 Field Days. This single-day class offers students a unique opportunity to dive into nature-inspired sketching exercises designed to spark curiosity and enhance detailed observation skills.
Guided by Carly Lake, whose exceptional talent and passion for art will inspire and motivate young artists, participants will engage in a variety of activities, including:
- Embarking on a nature walk to gather materials for sketching
- Practicing landscape scene drawing
- Focusing on detailed drawings of objects up close
- Experimenting with drawing using the non-dominant hand
- Exploring exaggeration and stylization in their artwork
- Trying different shading and coloring techniques
Our young artists and any attending parents are incredibly fortunate to learn from Carly Lake, whose expertise and enthusiasm make this a must-attend event. This registration is for June 18th.Â
We encourage your student to join the other two classes in different locations for more practice, and introduction to various types of sketching in each class.Â
Sketching dates are:
Tuesday June 18 9-10:30, Glendora
Tuesday July 16th 9-11, San Dimas
Tuesday August 20th, 9-10:30, Mt. Baldy

All classes are non-refundable, transferrable okay.
All supplies will be provided. Students may bring their own sketchbooks if desired.
