Ever wonder what it takes to bring Knott’s Scary Farm to life?

We’re going behind the scenes for a rare look at the creativity, technology, art and teamwork that go into creating Scary Farm each year.

Students will tour up to four current mazes and learn how the creative and technical teams work together to build the environments, effects and experiences guests see at night. We’ll also get a look at Wardrobe and Makeup as the monsters get ready for the evening.

This is a fun opportunity for teens who are curious about careers in art, entertainment, makeup, wardrobe, design, technology, special effects, theatrical production and live events...or who just love seeing how things work behind the scenes. Knott’s describes this program as an opportunity to see the creativity, technology and teamwork that bring Scary Farm to life.

• Behind-the-Scenes Knott’s Scary Farm Tour

• Knott’s Scary Farm admission for the registered student (parent's may also join with a ticket!)

• HFAC field trip coordination and supervision during the tour

• Our reservation is for Knott’s Park & Tour Scary Farm program.

Drop-Off + Pick-Up

Parents may drop students off with HFAC for the tour and do not need to purchase a ticket just to drop off.

Please have your student with our group by 3:15 PM. The tour begins promptly at 4:00 PM. Knott’s recommends arriving at least 45 minutes before the tour and will not extend a tour because of late arrival.

The tour ends at approximately 6:00 PM. Parents may meet their student after the tour and continue into Knott’s Scary Farm together. The registered student’s Scary Farm admission is included. Any parent or other family member who would like to enter Scary Farm will need to purchase their own admission ticket.

Exact drop-off and pick-up instructions will be sent to registered families before the trip.

Important Before Registering

Knott’s Scary Farm is an ages 13+ event and includes horror themes, frightening imagery, blood, gore and mature content. Please make sure your student is comfortable with this type of experience before registering.

We will be entering actual backstage working areas, so:

• Closed-toed shoes are required.

• No photography or video is permitted backstage.

• Bring water.

• Please use the restroom before the tour begins, as there are no restroom stops during the tour.

• Portions of the tour include stairs.

• Respectful, professional behavior is expected while backstage.

Registration and payment deadline: Tuesday, September 8

Space is limited and registration may close early if our group fills.

All registrations are final and non-refundable. HFAC must finalize and prepay our group reservation, and Knott’s ticket sales are final with no refunds or exchanges.

Late arrivals who miss the tour will not be eligible for a refund.
