About the event
Kick off summer break with a day on the water!
Students will enjoy an easy kayak experience through the bay while exploring the harbor, stopping at beaches in the bay, observing wildlife, and learning about our local marine environment through fun, hands on experiences and exploration.
We will paddle, explore, hang out, enjoy recreation time, games, and summer fun with other outdoor loving youth. This is a beginner friendly experience and suitable for all kayaking levels, although all participants must know how to swim. *Life vests provided and required
Keep your eyes open… we may spot fish, rays, harbor birds, pelicans, cormorants, marine life along the shoreline, and moon jellies! Summer is a great time to observe and enjoy our local wildlife. This area is also where the Aquarium of the Pacific collects moon jellies for their touch tank experiences, and if they decide to gether, we know exactly where to find them!
