About the event
Catalina Camping & Conservation – 2-Day / 1-Night Adventure
Embark on a two-day, one-night island adventure working alongside the Catalina Island Conservancy to explore and protect Catalina’s coastal and chaparral ecosystems! Designed for campers ages 10-17, this small-group experience combines outdoor adventure, environmental education, and hands-on conservation.
Snorkel upon arrival with Bleu World, and drive inland to our private group campsite...enjoy comfortable camping, and join educators in nature-based games, team-building challenges, and hands-on learning activities. Students will help with real conservation tasks while learning about island wildlife, native plants, and marine ecosystems.
All meals, round-trip ferry transportation, inland transportation, guided snorkeling, and program equipment are included...just bring your sense of adventure and willingness to work and learn!
Dates: October 14th-15th, 2025
Leaving From: Catalina Express, Long Beach
Times: TBD (APPROXIMATELY 9am drop off, and 7pm pick-up)
Cost: $279 per student

Round-trip ferry ticket
All meals (except a packed lunch for the start of the trip)
Comfortable tent camping at a private group site
Backpacking packs, sleeping pad, and sleeping bag provided, if needed
Inland transportation on Catalina with our group

Conservation work group
Requirements:
Students must be comfortable walking about 1.5 miles with a backpack
Grades 5th-12th
Safety: All educators have completed Live Scan Fingerprinting and DOJ/FBI background checks. Group limited to a small number for a high-quality, personalized experience.

Notes:
Students may have an opportunity to swim during their recreational period, and weather dependent.
Students must be comfortable with walking 2 miles with a backpack on. This is not a backpacking trip.
Students must know how to swim.
Deposit due upon registration. The remaining amount is due on October 11th.
All educators have completed Live Scan Fingerprinting and DOJ/FBI Background checks
