A two-class outdoor art series

We are honored to welcome Carly Lake back to teach this special art class for students ages 8+. Carly is a highly respected teaching artist whose previous classes with us, including watercolor, sketching, natural dye shibori, and creative bookmaking, have been some of our most loved and visually beautiful offerings.

In this two-class outdoor art series, students will learn how to work with watercolor from the tube and explore mixed media techniques using colored pencils and drawing tools. Through guided instruction, students will create expressive animal illustrations inspired by photographs, books, nature, and their own imagination.

Carly’s teaching style is calm, encouraging, and thoughtful. She creates a supportive environment where students feel confident experimenting, developing their own ideas, and learning real artistic skills. Each student’s work is honored as unique, and the finished pieces are consistently meaningful, detailed, and frame-worthy.

This class is perfect for students who love animals, drawing, painting, and creative expression. No prior watercolor experience is needed! Just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Cost: $79 total for both classes

This is a student-only class. Drop-off is encouraged, and parents are welcome to relax nearby while students enjoy an independent, focused creative experience.
