About the event

Regiter here! https://Swordcastingguy.regfox.com/bronze-age-sword-casting-class-225-anaheim-ca-

Begin by learning about the evolution of human  tool making skills that led to Bronze Age culture. After hearing the  stories of several swords and their roles in history, you’ll choose a  wood blank from a variety of sword patterns. Next, get your hands dirty  making a sand cast of the original wooden sword. This is the most  challenging part of class, and concludes with the “moment of truth”,  when we open your casting box and see how carefully you worked! Finally,  you’ll learn about the science of metallurgy and watch as we pour an  exact copy of your sword in molten metal! At the end of class, several  volunteers and I will grind your sword and leave it with a polished  finish. The final step is to wrap the handle, before you take  home your own metal sword.

This class is held at the OC Ropes Course location in Anaheim. It is run by www.swordcastingguy.com and HFAdventureCommunity is proud to be the host for the day.

The location is a large RV Park. Feel free to bring your family and let the kids that are not participating in the class ride their bikes and play in the large park, at the pickle ball courts, horseshoe area, find bugs by the Santa Ana River that runs through the park, or at the playground for the day!

To make a sword, it costs $120 and is paid directly through the Sword Casting Guy.

What to bring: Pack a lunch, snacks, and water! Picnic chairs and blanket, and canopy tents if you are able to bring one for more shade to work under.

We hope to see you there!

Space is limited to 30 swords.
