About the event
This is a 6- session outdoor Fall class in which students will use their imagination and develop artistic skills. Each student will write, plan, illustrate and bind their own picture book story with renowned artist Carly Lake! (carlylake.com)
Here are some of the exciting steps your student will be guided through to complete their project...
Begin brainstorm plot of story and developing characters
Writing Story
Sketch Illustrations and plan text layout
Coloring and/or collaging illustrations
Finish coloring and complete book binding.
Picture Book Reading Circle with friends and family!
Time: 9:30am-11:30am
Location: Big Dalton Wilderness, Glendora
*Location may change if raining
Appropriate for approximate ages 7-12
Dates: September 3, 10, 17, 24, October 1, 15 (no class October 8th)
*Mark your calendar! The last session on 8/15 will end with a reading circle (starting at 11am), where students
have the opportunity to share their picture books with friends and family.
Cost: $429 for the 6 class series and all high quality art supplies

There is a minimum student requirement for this class.
Parents may attend, but we ask that they give students space in class to work through the project on their own. This is a great time to read, hike, and unwind while your student grows with their instructor.
